Aragorn : "We cross at nightfall, hide the boats and continue on foot. We approach Mordor from the north."
Gimli : "Oh? Just a simple matter of finding our way across Emyn Muil, an impassable labyrinth of razor-sharp rocks! And then it gets even better! Festering, stinking marshlands as far as the eye can see!"
Aragorn : "That is our road, master dwarf. Perhaps you should take some rest, and recover your strength."

Gimli : "Recover my…!"
Legolas : "We should leave now."
Aragorn : "No. Orcs patrol the eastern shore. We must wait for the cover of darkness."
Legolas : "It is not the eastern shore that worries me. A shadow and a threat has been growing in my mind. Something draws near, I can feel it."

Gimli : "Recover my strength! Pay no heed to that, young hobbits."
Merry returns from gathering firewood.
Merry : "Where is Frodo?"
Aragorn looks around and realizes Boromir is also missing.

Frodo walks in the forest, Boromir finds him.

Boromir : "None of us should wander alone, you least of all. So much depends on you. Frodo? I know why you seek solitude. You suffer, I see it day by day. Be sure you do not suffer needlessly. There are other ways, Frodo, other paths we might take."

Frodo : "I know what you would say, and it would sound like wisdom, but for the warning in my heart."
Boromir : "Warning? Against what? They are all afraid, but to let that fear drive us to destroy what hope we have… Don't you see? It's madness."

Frodo : "There is no other way."
Boromir : "Why do you recoil? I am no thief."
Frodo : "You are not yourself!"
Boromir : "I ask only for the strength to defend my people! If you would but lend me the ring."
Frodo : "No!"

Boromir : "What chance do you think you have? They will find you, they will take the ring, and you will beg for death before the end! It is not yours save by a happenstance. It could have been mine. It should have been mine! Give it to me!"
Frodo : "No!"
They struggle, Frodo puts on the ring and disappears.

Boromir : "I see your mind! You would take the ring to Sauron! You will betray us! You go to your death, and the death of us all! Curse you! Curse all you halflings!"
Boromir falls, and seems to recover himself.
Boromir : "Frodo? Frodo? What have I done? Frodo, I'm sorry!"

Frodo runs away, with the ring on. He hides atop a stone platform in the woods, looks east and sees Barad-Dur, and army of orcs, and the Eye. He falls off the platform and takes off the ring.

Aragorn arrives.
Aragorn : "Frodo?"
Frodo : "It has taken Boromir."
Aragorn : "Where is the ring?"
Frodo backs away.

Frodo : "Stay away!"
Aragorn : "Frodo? I swore to protect you."
Frodo : "Can you protect me from yourself? Would you destroy it?"

Aragorn resists the ring, but leaves it with Frodo.
Aragorn : "I would have gone with you to the end, into the very fires of Mordor."

Frodo : "I know. Take care of the others. Especially Sam, he will not understand."

Aragorn : "Go, Frodo!"
Sting is glowing.
Aragorn : "Run! Run!"
